What is it?

This program operates separately from your standard Medicare Part D drug plan benefit.
Who may qualify?
You may qualify if:
You have Medicare with Part D prescription drug coverage.
Your doctor determines you meet Medicare’s medical requirements.
Your doctor believes a GLP-1 medication is right for you.
Not everyone will qualify. Your doctor must determine if you meet the medical requirements.
How does it work?
You do not apply yourself. Your doctor or healthcare provider will:
- Determine if you qualify.
- Submit the required paperwork to Medicare.
- Let you know if you are approved.
Should I change my Medicare plan?
Probably not. Because this program is separate from your Medicare drug plan, changing plans usually will not help you qualify.
Talk with your licensed insurance agent before making any changes to your coverage.
What should I do next?
- Make an appointment with your doctor.
- Ask if you may qualify for the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program.
- If you qualify, your doctor will start the approval process with Medicare.
